Secure managed hosting

Managed means we own the outcome, not just the machine. Patching, certificates, backups, monitoring and the phone call when something breaks are all on our side of the line.

Where it runs

Hetzner dedicated hardware in Germany. Your hosted data is stored on servers in Germany; content delivery runs through Cloudflare (see our privacy policy).

  • German data centres
  • Dedicated hardware, not oversubscribed shared tenancy
  • Encryption in transit enforced — TLS 1.3 minimum on every site we operate

Patching and certificates run themselves

Operating system updates are applied on a schedule and verified afterwards, not applied and assumed. TLS certificates renew automatically through ACME with DNS validation, and the renewal itself is monitored — a certificate that quietly fails to renew is the classic outage nobody sees coming.

  • Scheduled patch runs with post-run verification
  • Automatic certificate renewal, monitored for silent failure
  • Package state audited, not assumed

Backups that have actually been restored

Three copies, one of them off-site. More importantly, the restore is tested automatically every month: the backup is played back, the restored system is checked for boot capability and filesystem integrity, and the test instance cleans itself up. The report is sent whether the result is good or bad.

  • Three copies, one off-site, following the 3-2-1 principle
  • Monthly unattended restore test with boot and filesystem verification
  • A backup that has never been restored is an assumption, not a backup

Monitoring measures effect, not status

A running process is not proof that it is still doing anything. Our checks measure the result — how many firewall rules are actually loaded, whether the last backup contains the data it should — and alerting goes out over two independent channels so a broken notification path cannot swallow the alert.
